Amazing blog post!! I don't even know...Frances,
Amazing blog post!! I don't even know where to begin. You are not only a great writer and have wonderful ideas but you are very realistic about education and learning as well. I enjoyed your personal commentary in the way that you related the post to your own life. Very good work!
Carly
P.S.: I am so very glad that you enjoyed my post and got something out of it. :)Carly Pughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03970808660406912537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8362071926007041781.post-3509468803057482582011-10-23T17:59:44.320-05:002011-10-23T17:59:44.320-05:00Well done! I am thankful that Dr. Strange as well ...Well done! I am thankful that Dr. Strange as well as others are doing a great job of setting up for the future. We have learned so much that will help us out when we lead our own classroom. You made a good point that right now we have some classes that stick to paper and pen and some that have us using technology and although we are slowly making change, some is better than none. In many ways technology can help make a difference in education. It is a privilege that we and share our ideas with people all over the world. We should take advantage of this. Students can also view the ideas of professionals all over. Technology allows us to demonstrate and share our dreams. Carly’s video was creative. I enjoyed the introduction because it isn’t what you would expect. I appreciate the fact that not only did Carly come up with an idea, but she gave an example of how she would do it. In this video we learned that students are using all types of technology outside the classroom and it is banned in schools. I wonder the same question you asked “Aren't educators prepping our children for the future? How do we possibly expect to do so if they develop such few technological skills in the classroom?” Kids should be learning in the classroom how to use technology the right way. I think we had a lot of the same opinions. I enjoyed your blog post and thought you had many great things to say!

Thanks,

Whitney Watsonwhitneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02468832981804710748noreply@blogger.com
