I think you should definitely keep blogging about your journey to becoming a teacher and beyond even after this class because you have a lot of interesting things to say in interesting ways!
Good job!Carly Pughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03970808660406912537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8362071926007041781.post-44156602104438545192011-10-19T12:42:36.867-05:002011-10-19T12:42:36.867-05:00I actually just reread this post and was horrified...I actually just reread this post and was horrified at the typos. In regards to the content, I have only one thing to think about... You said that we must consider our audience (the student) and their audience (us), but you have already seen that a connected classroom has the potential to have a world wide audience. How does that affect your lesson planning?

I have to admit, that because I know my kids have an online and local following, I try to include ways that we can publish our thoughts, discoveries and processes when I design my lessons. In part I do this to help stay connected with the teachers I look up to the most as mentors, Chamberlain, Jabiz, Spencer, Dr. Baggett, Strange, etc... But I also do it because my kids get so stoked when they see what they have done on the internet and read what others have to say about it. They can easily share their works with their parents, which helps me rally parental/ community support for those occasions that call for it. Not to mention it gives them an authentic audience and requires them to practice skills involved in the publishing/ production process.

I can't wait to read about the teacher that you become. I have great faith in you. I hope we get to work together.

AnthonyAnthonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08389518086169811140noreply@blogger.com
